The games shown below are games built into Windows, including classics like Solitaire. Windows 7 versions of many of the games below can be found in Winaero’s Windows 7 Games Pack for Windows 10 and 8. We tested this pack on Windows 11 (the ARM version running on a MacBook Pro, no less), and it all worked except for the online-based titles because those servers were offline. .
Solitaire for Windows 3.1
Get the Microsoft Solitaire collection, which includes classic and a few new versions. It is included in Windows 11 and is available on mobile platforms such as Android and iOS.
You can also play Windows 3.1 versions in a browser from DOSBox. It may be the best type of card game you can get your hands on. It also includes a variety of games including Spider Solitaire (as seen in Windows 2000 through Windows 7). You can also play solitaire in your browser with Solitaire for free.

FreeCell
FreeCell is another card game designed for the Microsoft Solitaire collection, which you can download for free for Windows 11, Android and iOS. You can also play FreeCell in your browser using websites like FreeCell.io without downloading anything. FreeCell version of Windows 7 is available in Windows 7 game pack for Windows 10 and 8 from Winaero.

For Windows has been completely redesigned to work on almost anything. You can download a standalone version for 64-bit versions of modern Windows (including Windows 11) or ports for macOS, Linux, LG’s WebOS TV platform, AmigaOS 4, and PS Vita.

Windows 7 Games for Windows 10 and 8 from Winaero
Online versions of Backgammon, Checkers, Reversi and Spades first appeared on Windows Me and XP around the turn of the century. At that time, Internet penetration was increasing, and the idea of a shared “family PC” was still important.
Reversi was the first game included in Windows 1.0, although it did not include online games at the time. Inkball is an awesome little game that first appeared on Windows XP Tablet PC and later on Windows Vista Home Premium and above. This game requires players to draw a line quickly to direct the ball into the space of the corresponding color.
As long as you install the appropriate version of XP or Vista in the virtual machine, your best bet is this browser update from GitHub user ghallak.
Purble Place
The Purble site for Windows 7 runs on Windows 11 for ARM
Purble Place is integrated into Windows Vista and Windows 7 as an educational game for children, consisting of three mini-games: Purble Pairs, Comfy Cakes, and Purble Shop. The best way to play this game is to use Winaero’s Windows 7 Games Pack for Windows 10 and 8.
Mahjong Titans
Mahjong Titans for Windows 7 runs on Windows 11 for ARM
Mahjong is a game you can enjoy all over the web, but if you want the Windows 7 version, you’ll be out of luck with the Windows 7 game pack for Windows 10 and 8. Otherwise, browser-based mahjong games are available. to PlayMahjong.io. , as well as Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics for Switch, are excellent alternatives.
Microsoft Hover!
browser type float up! only appeared in Windows 95 and was included in the CD-ROM version. Microsoft brought it back in 2013 as a browser game, but the website has since disappeared. Fortunately, you can still get it using the Hover.ie Internet Archive.
Chess Titans
Chess Titans for Windows 7 runs on Windows 11 for ARM
Being a Windows 7 inclusion, Chess Titans was originally included in the Windows 7 game pack for Windows 10 and 8. On the other hand, it’s just chess, so you can play it anywhere, including in your browser from Chess.com.
Play games from the Microsoft Entertainment Pack
In addition to the game pack, it included other Windows titles and one of four Microsoft Entertainment Pack releases between 1990 and 1992. Later in 1994, Microsoft released a final collection called The Best of Microsoft Entertainment Pack.
These are all 16-bit games, which means they work on 16-bit versions of Windows starting with Windows 3.0 and 32-bit versions up to 32-bit versions of Windows Vista. They do not work with Windows 8 or later or 64-bit versions of Windows.
For the full experience, we recommend playing these games in native mode in Windows 3.1 environment. You can install Windows 3.1 on DOSBox and grab a Microsoft Entertainment Pack of your choice (many of which are available from the Internet Archive) to play.

Revenge of the mouse
Java application Rodent Revenge.A computer-controlled cat-and-mouse game, Rodent’s Revenge was part of Microsoft’s second entertainment package in 1993. It has been adapted to Java and can be downloaded for free (or played with your browser’s Java applet) as Vengeance Rodent.
The Chip Challenge
Originally a launch title for the Atari Lynx home console, the tile-based Chip Challenge was later included in Microsoft Entertainment’s fourth installment in 1994. In 2015, the game was made free on Steam.
Klotsky
Klotski works on Windows 11
Klotski is a classic 20th century toy, included in the third Microsoft Entertainment package. A developer named Philippe Fremy has released Klotski and Python as a Windows executable that you can run on modern versions of Windows.
You can make it work on other platforms, but you need Python 3.5 and PyQt 5. This version includes all the same features as the original version of Windows 3.1.
Jazzball
Jezzball can be played in a browser
After being included in the original Microsoft Entertainment Pack, Jezzball also appeared in The Best of Microsoft Entertainment Pack. The rule here is to draw a line to capture as many levels as possible without any balls hitting the line as it is being drawn. Play yourself in your browser. Pipe Dream (Pipe Mania).
Pipe Dream clone
Released for the Amiga by Assembly Line in 1989 as Pipe Mania and later ported to other platforms (including Windows 3.1) by Lucasfilm Games, Pipe Dream is a puzzle game about connecting a set of pipes on a map within a specified time. This technique has been developed and used many times (perhaps most notably as a hacking mini-game in the Deus Ex franchise). The game of life
Also known as John Conway’s Game of Life or simply Life, this mobile phone ticks all the boxes for a free game. This means that it is called after the player has given the first input. You can run the Game of Life for yourself in your browser.

WordZap is a fast-paced word game that is completely free to play in your browser at WordZap.com. If you like word games like Wordle or classic games like Boggle, don’t miss this classic.
Everyone has their favorite
Eagle-eyed Windows enthusiasts will notice that Tinker’s favorite Windows Vista Ultimate is missing from this list. Even following the detailed instructions posted on the Microsoft Answers website using Windows 11, we could not get it to work. You will need to install Vista Ultimate on a virtual machine for this.
